As part of this wider journey, we are seeking an exceptional Pension Consultant to join our Policy and Pensions Team. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to become the Council's subject matter expert on pension provision, providing specialist advice across a range of schemes including the Local Government Pension Scheme, Firefighters' Pension Schemes, NHS Pension Scheme and Teachers' Pension Scheme.

Supporting West Sussex County Council, maintained schools and external customers, you will influence policy development, support strategic decision-making and help ensure best practice, compliance and high-quality outcomes for thousands of scheme members. Your expertise will play an important role in helping the Council navigate an increasingly complex pensions landscape while ensuring our pension arrangements remain effective, sustainable and responsive to future needs.
