Recruitment Process
All potentially suitable applicants will be offered the opportunity to undertake an informal telephone discussion with a member of staff from Hays Specialist Recruitment to give you a chance to explore the opportunity on an exploratory and confidential basis – this can cover as much information as you need regarding the organisation, role, prison environment, the next steps in the process and any further questions you may have.
This will be followed by a face to face video interview with your Hays contact to explore your skills, qualifications and work history in more detail. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the GFSL hiring manager on site and shown around the prison establishment to give you a better feel for the workplace and the environment.
Offers will be issued verbally and followed up in writing while the required employee vetting is undertaken – the level of vetting varies between establishment type and your Hays contact will be pleased to work through this with you during the initial discussions.
Your Hays contact will remain in close contact with you all the way through the selection process and on commencement, and they will be very pleased to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have throughout.
As an organisation GFSL encourages an environment which is inclusive to all and free from discrimination, and as such we welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and with all different kinds of life experiences.
