About Us

Founded by Knowlton Crichlow and Jonathan Charles-Brady over 9 years ago, both continue to play an integral role in shaping and directing Children of the Mangrove, leading by example to implement change and drive a holistic care-centric approach when it comes to supporting young people with complex, emotional, behavioural, and social difficulties. They truly believe that no child is beyond help and can be reached with the right support, environment, and approach, often taking in young people that have been previously let down by the care system.

With over 30 years of experience within the field, COTM has proudly become an important platform for expressing passion in what they do and achieve for the young people in their dedicated care.

Our Vision and Values

Mangroves are eco systems which thrive and sustain life in the harshest environments; they take root on the banks of rivers that are not conducive to most forms of life growing. In this vein, Children of the Mangrove projects strive to create spaces which allow and support those within uncertain environments to grow and thrive.
