Welcome from Chair of Trust

I am delighted on behalf of both the trust and Aston University to welcome your application to the prestigious role of Head of School Designate for Aston University’s new Mathematics school.

The school will give specialist training to talented students aged 16-18 years old from across the region over and above an A-level offer in maths, further maths, physics, and computer science.

It will fit with our ethos for a combination of excellence and widening participation and will be fully embedded within the Aston University family benefitting from our shared resources and community.

The role is integral to both the establishment of the Mathematics School benefiting from a year in post prior to opening, and through the promotion from designate to consummate Head of School from September 2025 and leading the future of the school within our planned new Aston University Stem Education Academies Trust (RSD Application phase)
