Welcome Main

Welcome

Welcome to the West Midlands Combined Authority. As Chief Executive, I am immensely proud to lead an organisation dedicated to driving positive change and making a real impact in the West Midlands region.

At the WMCA, our vision is clear: we aim to create a better connected, more prosperous, fairer, greener, and healthier West Midlands where everyone can thrive. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our residents and businesses by championing economic growth, improving transportation and connectivity, fostering innovation, and prioritising environmental sustainability.

We firmly believe that our success hinges on the incredible people who make up our team. That's why we are committed to investing in our staff, nurturing their talents, and providing them with opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. By joining the WMCA, you become part of a dynamic and forward-thinking workforce that values diversity, collaboration, and innovation.

Here at the WMCA, we appreciate the contributions of everyone, and we strive to create an environment that empowers our employees to excel and succeed. We are proud, purposeful and privileged to serve.  By joining the WMCA, you will become part of a broader network of passionate professionals working collectively to shape the future of the West Midlands. We foster strong partnerships with local authorities, businesses, educational institutions, and community organisations. Together, we are driving positive change, promoting inclusive economic growth, and improving the overall quality of life for our region's residents.

As the Executive Director for Housing, Regeneration, and Place, your expertise, leadership, and commitment will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of our extensive housing and regeneration policies and programmes. You will have the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders, including local authorities, developers, landowners, investors, and government agencies, to drive forward the delivery of development and infrastructure projects in the region.

In your role, you will champion and co-develop housing, land, and development policy and strategy, foster partnerships, and engage with senior government officials to shape national policy and secure public investment in the West Midlands. You will also oversee the WMCA's strategic asset and facilities management programs.

Motivating, empowering, and developing a large team, your experience and leadership skills will be instrumental in successfully managing large-scale budgets, implementing strategic plans, and driving significant change within our organisation. You will also be part of the Executive management of the organisation and will play a key part in leading a high support high challenge environment and setting the overall direction of the WMCA.

I am looking forward to meeting you and witnessing the positive impact we will achieve together. Only by working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of our residents and businesses.
