Thank you for your interest in joining Winterhill School. Winterhill School is a high achieving, diverse comprehensive school for students aged 11-16. We are proud to serve the communities of North West Rotherham and believe that valuing diversity, embracing collaboration and seeking genuine partnership with our local community and other educational partners is the best way to improve the life chances of the young people we serve.

We put great emphasis on personal development as well as academic achievement and we expect all school members to uphold our ethos which emphasises respect, responsibility and resilience. These values are intended to guide all aspects of school life and are underpinned by our guiding principle that we call ‘The Winterhill Way’.

All members of staff at Winterhill School are central to the success of our school. We want our students to develop a love of learning and continue to learn throughout their lives. In September 2023, Winterhill became part of Inspire Learning Trust in partnership with several local schools and Thomas Rotherham Sixth Form College. This exciting development will provide further opportunities for staff across all subjects and key stages.
