About us
Winterhill School is a large 11-16 comprehensive school which has recently been described by Ofsted as good with many outstanding features.
The school converted to Academy Status in 2016 and became part of Inspire Learning Trust in September 2023.
We have fantastic facilities and state of the art technology in a range of subjects and a wide range of enrichment opportunities in a range of subjects, including sports, drama, music and art.

We want to be able to describe the atmosphere in school as relaxed and purposeful. We are setting a framework to support students to achieve, enjoy school life and to reach their full potential.
