Northampton is a market town and civil parish in the East Midlands region of England. Northampton is one of the largest towns in England. Northampton is the perfect combination of bustling urban life and peaceful countryside.

There are plenty of green spaces to explore just outside of the town such as Sywell Country Park, Coton Manor Gardens, and Haddonstone Show Gardens, and stunning landscapes for walks and days outside.

A wide range of gastronomic delights can be found in and around Northampton town centre, suiting all budgets and tastes. The area around Fish Street and St Giles’ Street are scattered with independent cafes, bars and traditional pubs, including the historic Wig and Pen, St Giles' Ale House and the Market Tavern. If cocktails are more your thing, then head to Sazaraks, with its sophisticated lounge and boutique bar. High street favourites such as Prezzo, Pizza Express and Ask can be found in the area around the Guildhall, and the eclectic Zapato Lounge at the top of the Market Square is the perfect place for a lunchtime break.

There are also several out-of-town retail parks including St James and Nene Valley just to the south of the town centre, Riverside on the A45 at the eastern end of the town, and Sixfields, close to the Northampton Town Football Club stadium.

The town centre offers a good mix of high street favourites and independent stores for a spot of retail therapy. The pedestrianised Abington Street traversing the retail centre of the town, is home to H&M, Clarks and Waterstones Bookshop, while many popular high street stores are located within the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, including River Island, New Look, Next and Primark, to name a few.

The lovely St Giles’ Street, the winner of the Great British High Street Award, is awash with independent shopping delights. St Giles’ Cheese, Montague Jeffery menswear, Voni Blu ladieswear, Bonds and St Gyles Jewellers, Dychurch Lifestyle footwear and Abraxas Cook Shop, are joined by more recent additions - Vintage Guru and Mooch gifts. Northampton’s historic Market Square is one of the oldest and largest in England. The square is fringed by impressive Georgian buildings and is often referred to as the heart of the town. This is because, after the Great Fire of Northampton in 1675, the town was rebuilt around it. There are also several out-of-town retail parks including St James and Nene Valley just to the south of the town centre, Riverside on the A45 at the eastern end of the town, and Sixfields, close to the Northampton Town Football Club stadium.

Located on the edge of the town Weston Favell offers a mix of over 60 high street and independent shops and restaurants offering value and convenience. Whatever your reason for visiting, whether just nipping in for a few items or making a longer visit, you are assured of a warm and safe welcome.
