Computer Library - comp section

Computing and Library Services (CLS) is a large and diverse department with over 170 staff delivering number of critical functions to its customers. Our aim is to deliver an inspiring information environment and services in support of the University strategy. The key components of our service portfolio are IT infrastructure and support, library and information services, archives, and printing services.

We are proud of our record of service innovation which is driven by a firm belief in continuous service improvement. We have received several national awards as well as being regular finalists in the Times Higher Education Awards for both our library and IT developments. The library is internationally recognised for its work on impact data and we have held the Customer Service Excellence standard for many years.

We are committed to providing high quality customer service and we welcome feedback and suggestions from all users of our services.

The University has recently published exciting new 2019-2025 Digital Strategy and now embarking upon a Digital transformational journey, enhancing and focusing strongly on improving the overall experience for both students and staff experience along with delivering efficiencies.

An indicative roadmap of programme and projects has been defined for the duration of the strategy. A number of Digital Strategy initiatives are already in progress. These include a new student portal and mobile app, cloud migration, telecommunication replacement, Office 365, Curriculum Management and many more transformational initiatives
