We are looking for outstanding, committed and motivated planners to contribute towards our approach to place-making. As one of the fastest-growing districts in the country, with one of the strongest economies in the UK, we have an ambitious growth agenda for our borough and are looking for planners to deliver our approach to both place-making and growth.

Tewkesbury Borough is beautiful. Situated at the very north of the south-west, it spans 160 square miles and has several urban areas in its predominantly rural landscape. Even with its rural character, the borough is home to a wide range of economic activity - from large multinationals to micro-businesses. We are an established centre for high quality manufacturing and home to some world-class high-tech aero engineering firms.

Alongside major growth in strategic sites across the borough, we also have two Garden Communities - Tewkesbury Garden Town and the Golden Valley near Cheltenham. These exciting new developments will see the creation of new, sustainable communities with supporting infrastructure in great places.

As a borough council, we are ambitious and committed to transforming our approach to service delivery and place-making. These planning roles will play an important part in shaping our planning policies and delivering high quality development on-the-ground, alongside involvement in initiatives to continually develop our planning service to deliver high quality outcomes for our wide range of customers.

We welcome applications from experienced planners currently operating at senior levels within public or private practice, or those looking to step up into a senior role for the first time.
