With over 8,000 acres of parks and open space, Birmingham is also one of the greenest cities in the UK. With the ‘Big City Plan’ taking Birmingham forward and the exciting ever-changing landscape, Birmingham will keep on evolving and improving.

Culture

Birmingham offer a culturally rich experience with great theatres, museums and the world-famous City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, beautiful historical buildings and of course the iconic Library of Birmingham. It also has amazing concert and sporting venues such as the NEC, Edgbaston Cricket ground and Alexander Stadium and Birmingham will be the next host of the Commonwealth Games.

Dining out in Birmingham has something for all tastes with five Michelin star restaurants, Special Street by the Bull Ring, the Chinese Quarter and the famous Balti Triangle.

Shopping

Birmingham is still one of the most popular places to shop in the UK, with over 2,000 luxury, high street and independent shops, all within a 20 minute walk of each other. Big names including Selfridges, Debenhams and John Lewis are already established and new developments always adding to the retail experience.
