About the school
Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy is an 11-18 school situated in North East Wolverhampton within easy reach of motorway networks and is an active partner in a number of city and national school networks.
“Students are proud of their school, behave well and show respect for each other, for staff and their environment” Ofsted, 2014
Staff at the Academy demand high expectations, work hard to inspire curiosity and develop resilience in students. The school encourages students to be aspirational, and has supported many students in successful applications to top universities, as well as pursuing progression routes into local colleges and industry for others. The Academy is a top performing school at Post 16. The school population of students and staff reflects the city population, in being a harmonious mixed faith and mixed culture community.
The Academy is passionate about nurturing leaders for the future and has developed a Pope John XXIII Multi Academy accelerated leadership programme linked to NPQML and NPQSL. Staff have access to a range of cutting edge Induction and CPD Programmes across the Multi Academy, including funding towards second degree and research work. The Gold Investors in People Award confirms the quality of this aspect of school.
