As we move forward in our next stage of development, we are looking for a dynamic individual to join us as our Group Chief Operating Officer. We are a registered charity, operating not-for-profit and investing income back into the organisation.

About the Role

As the Group Chief Operating Officer, you will work closely with the Executive Committee, Chief Executive, and Board to lead and develop NOCN Group as a well-respected UK and international technical and vocational education and skills charity. Your role will involve supporting people to obtain the skills for employment, self-employment, and career development through various means, including apprenticeships, qualifications, assured courses/CPD, SMART cards, online programs, NOCN Skills Passport, training, and consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead with Vision: Drive NOCN Group’s day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless coordination and management of our dedicated UK-based staff and contracted personnel.

• Innovate and Inspire: Oversee awarding operations, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while meeting the dynamic needs of employers, centres, and learners.

• Strategic Partner: Support the Chief Executive in strategic positioning, international delivery, and policy influencing, playing a crucial role in our global expansion.

• Growth Catalyst: Propel NOCN Group’s growth by organic business development and strategic acquisitions

About you

We are seeking an inspirational leader with a strong background in technical or vocational education and skills sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic leadership, operational management, and commercial business development experience as well as exposure to product and service development. 

This role is perfect for a visionary leader ready to make a significant impact in developing the UK and international workforce of the future.
