The best thing about BFS is undoubtedly the people. There’s a real family feel about working here, with everyone looking out for and helping each other. Senior Managers are accessible and interested in your thoughts on the organisation and ideas. I think the move to the new offices in Salford Quays will be a fantastic opportunity to really shape the business for the future.
My story:
Having worked in Invoice Finance for 20 years, I’m now Risk Manager for BFS in Manchester. For the last few years, I’ve worked as part of the client relations team, the sales team and the risk team, helping to manage clients, structure deals, ensure the best possible service, and look after our risk. Thanks to being involved in all aspects of client life here at BFS, I’ve gained a huge amount of experience and knowledge and I’m building on that all the time.
My development:
My long-term ambition is to be Head of Risk and because BFS is open to the development of all colleagues and they champion growth from within the company, I feel as though I have the opportunity to pursue this ambition. As part of my development, I am looking to spend more time in our specialist products of Trade & Export and Construction and reviewing larger clients from within our Corporate offering to assist with my career development.
