Our Team Main

The Policy, Performance, Insight, Risk and Improvement Team is newly created at the centre of our Councils. It is the hub for policy and strategy, performance and risk, continuous improvement and insight and leads on business planning. This team works with service colleagues in a hub and spoke model ensuring consistently good quality and specialist skills are shared across the organisation. It also enables the development of a cross-cutting culture. The Team is central to the three-year improvement journey the Councils are embarking on. You will have an exciting opportunity to shape that change and play a key role in helping us to transform and deliver our ambitions.

The Team will provide corporate support on the development of new strategy and organisational policy as well as a framework for service specific work. It will embed the agreed outcomes framework, corporate delivery plan and service planning and help to understand and mitigate business risk and improve performance linked to financial integration. The Team will also drive data improvement which is fundamental to our change plan. Data improvement is one of four corporate programmes agreed with our Senior Leadership Team the others being efficiency, climate change and wellbeing.

The Team will also develop an insight and research plan and work with partners such as the Suffolk Office for Data Analytics and the Suffolk Observatory to influence insight to inform evidence-led policy for Babergh and Mid Suffolk.
