We have lots of support in our department, including a second in charge if each key stage. Outstanding teaching is our priority and we have an open-door policy within the department to constantly improve our practice and feedback to each other. We are very proud of our outstanding results and go above and beyond to ensure our students succeed. This is also a result of a well thought out and sequenced curriculum, meaningful marking and targeted intervention.

The music department at STAC is a busy and lively place where we welcome students to come and make music throughout the day. The teaching staff are passionate about music and all have different specialisms, which enables us to deliver stimulating lessons and a variety of extra-curricular activities. We work with a team of visiting instrumental teachers to provide performance opportunities for our students across a wide range of music genres and styles.
