First Week Details
First day
- On day 1, please arrive via South Gate entrance (full directions and map further down the page)
- Please report to the site entrance through the barrier and you will arrive at the turnstile. Press the South Gate Security button and provide the name of your Sony Contact.
- You will be directed towards the reception area where you will be met by a Sony Team Player.
- Within the first few days, you will be allocated a locker & locker key to store personal belongings.
- Dress Code - You will be provided with a corporate jacket to wear in the production area. If required you will also be issued a hair or beard net.
First Week
- During your first week you will be provided with training after which you will be given your shift patterns
- Also during your first week, you will receive an email prompting you to log in to the timesheet portal (3SS). Once logged in you will be required to input your bank details, please ensure you do this as soon as possible to ensure you receive your first payment on time
We do have a subsidised onsite cashless canteen if you wish to use it, the hours are breakfast – 8:45-10:30 and Lunch 12:00-14:00 and will be Card payment only

Mobile phones are not to be used in the production area
Random searches may be carried out by security

How to add Bank Details
Step 1: To add your Bank Details, click on the worker icon on the Home Dashboard and select Bank Accounts
Step 2: Click on the + button next to the Bank Account section
Step 3: Once you have read the Terms of Bank Account Details select Next to accept
Step 4: You will now have a template for you to fill in your bank details. The insurance deduction box only applies to those who work outside of the UK, so leave as no if not applicable. BSC roll number only applies to those who have a building society account
Step 5: Once you have completed the bank account details template, select validate to complete.

From the East
Exit M4 at junction 35, taking the A473 exit to Pencoed. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A473. Follow the A473. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Pencoed Technology Park.
Continue straight until you reach the entrance barriers. Press the button and state your name and
reason for entering to security. The barrier will then be lifted. Continue forward, follow the road and sign posts towards the Sony carpark. After parking in an allocated space, please follow the sign posts towards the entrance turnstile. At the turnstile press the button for South Gate security and state your name again. The turnstile will then be released for you to enter. Once you are passed the turnstile, please follow the path to your left around the building to our reception where you will be greeted.
From the West

Pedestrians
Enter Pencoed Technology Park. Continue straight on the pavement until you reach the entrance barriers. Upon passing the barriers continue on the right side of the path, using the pavement at all times. Continue on the pavement, passing the car park bays on your left, until you reach sign posts for Sony UK Technology Centre. Please follow the sign posts towards the entrance turnstile. At the turnstile press the button for South Gate security and state your name again. The turnstile will then be released for you to enter. Once you are passed the turnstile, please follow the path to your left around the building to our reception where you will be greeted.
Public Transport
Train – The closest train station is Pencoed (PCD) From here it’s approximately a 21 minute walk. Google maps will direct you to the UK TEC, then from here please refer to the pedestrian directions
