Rushmoor Borough Council serves the communities of Aldershot and Farnborough at the heart of the Blackwater Valley in north Hampshire. Both towns enjoy a unique reputation: Aldershot as the historic home of the British Army and Farnborough for its long history in British aviation and home to Farnborough Airport and the international airshow.

As a district council, we provide more than 100 key local services to around 100,000 residents, including recycling and bin collections, street cleaning, parks and play areas and leisure facilities, housing and environmental health.

Thank you for your interest in the role of Technical Finance Lead at Rushmoor Borough Council.  This role is a great opportunity to be the council’s expert lead on financial reporting making a vital contribution to our work and one that offers a rewarding professional challenge. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high standards and supporting the wider finance team in delivering high quality financial statements.

You will work with key partners to apply your technical knowledge to accounting for areas such as; regeneration and development, the commercial property investment portfolio and treasury management.

With ongoing initiatives to modernise our financial systems, streamline processes, and develop new strategies to achieve financial sustainability your expertise and contributions will be invaluable in contributing to the Council’s priorities.
