The Operational pillar is one six pillars (teams) which make up the Commercial Services team here at the Met. The pillars have overall accountability for the commercial activity and relevant business partnering responsibilities across the wider organisation, with key stakeholder groups including Frontline Policing & Met Operations. The pillar itself is responsible for a varied portfolio of sourcing activities and contracts, working closely with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver a wide range of goods and services; from firearms to forensic services, to animal feed and police vehicles. The team is currently made up of 14 members of staff, led by Commercial Director James Brown.
