Marie Hill - English Teacher
I have worked at The Kibworth High School for a year now, and I am enjoying my time here. On my interview day there was a strong ethos within the school; there was a sense of purpose and welcome. The students have a strong work ethic, as do the staff.
We are in the process of changing into an 11-16 school; this is an exciting time to be here. The prospect of GCSE teaching has enthused staff and students alike. There are numerous CPD opportunities available to develop and strengthen your career here.
The staff work together to ensure the students have access to all areas of the curriculum, the enrichment weeks are well organised and offer links with outside agencies and trips to enhance the learning.
We have high expectations of the students, and in turn the students have high expectations for themselves. This is evident with the success our students have in all areas of school life, whether this be in or outside the classroom.
Peter Fearon - Assistant Head/SENCO
I have worked at The Kibworth High School for thirty-three years. Three other members of our staff have been here even longer! The reason is simple - it's a lovely school to work in. Polite and well-motivated students, supportive parents, a pleasant rural setting and an attractive, well resourced working environment all add up to a happy school with a calm working atmosphere.
This is a school that really cares about its students and staff. Even though I have been fortunate enough to work up 'through the ranks' during my time here, I've looked at other schools and never really been tempted to move away. I enjoy working here now as much as I have ever done.
Karen Kowalski - Headteacher/Deputy Headteacher PA
I’ve worked at The Kibworth High School for 19 years now and cannot believe where the time has gone. My initial duties included reception and a varied range of administrative tasks. With the growth of the administration team I now work as PA to both the Head and Deputy.
During my time at The Kibworth High School I have also been involved in enrichment activities including trips which has allowed me the opportunity of getting to know students in a different context. The vast majority of our students are polite, respectful and well behaved and are supported by a strong pastoral team.
I thoroughly enjoy my role and am looking forward to the challenges of becoming an 11-16 school.
