About the school

The Kibworth School is an 11-16 academy situated in South Leicestershire. Currently there are circa 850 students on roll and we have just undergone an exciting expansion to become an 11-16 school with our first set of GCSE results in 2017.

The aim for The Kibworth School is simple: to afford our students the outstanding education they deserve and deliver to them every chance of the successes that should rightfully be theirs.

In pursuit of this in our first year of formal GCSE examinations we have shown that we can secure excellent progress that is within the top percentages nationally for both Maths and English subjects – an achievement that our students and staff should be immensely proud of. Alongside this, an incredible 73% of our students achieved five or more GCSE’s at grades 9 to 4, including English and Maths.

In English, 89% of all students achieved grades 9 to 4, with Maths students achieved 88% grades 9 to 4. We are not a school that will ever stand still. We wish to empower all students to succeed because of our knowledge and mastery Curriculum, embedded within the ‘Kibworth Standards’ – ‘Talent, Knowledge and Success’.

Ofsted

Our most recent Ofsted report graded us as a ‘Good’ overall (April 2013) with behaviour of students being ‘Outstanding’. At The Kibworth School we believe that there are no limits to achievement and that with the right challenge and support, all of our students have the capacity to realise their full potential.
