Eldertree Lodge is a 39 bed (25 low secure and 14 locked) hospital. We look after men and women aged 18+ with mental health problems and learning difficulties.

We provide a safe environment for people to recover and rehabilitate at their own pace. Some of your treatment will be one-to-one, other therapies work best in groups. We also put a lot of effort into reducing the risk of relapse.

Our aim is to help patients move to a less restrictive environment as soon as they can– and, where appropriate, to move back into the community.

We have given a lot of thought to the design and layout of our hospital which is why many of the wards face onto a pretty landscaped garden area with a residential rather than hospital feel.

All our tenants have a diagnosis of an autistic spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or a mild to moderate intellectual or learning disability with communication and sensory difficulties. Our service is not suitable for individuals detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007) or adults with severe physical or mobility difficulties.

Our building comprises 14 flats located over three floors. On both the ground floor and the first floor there are six flats, sharing two communal kitchens. On the top floor there are a further two flats with one shared kitchen. Each flat has a bedroom, bathroom and separate living space.
