HENDERSON GROUP
Henderson Group dates back to 1897 when John Henderson started a retail grocery business selling butter, cheese and eggs at premises on the Old Lodge Road in Belfast. Mr Henderson was a well-known figure and was frequently a judge for the cheese and butter categories at the annual Balmoral Show.
More than 120 years on, Henderson Group remains a leading player in the retail grocery market, but has since expanded and diversified into four independent entities – Henderson Wholesale (which is complemented by its subsidiary companies, Henderson Technology and Henderson Print), Henderson Retail, Henderson Foodservice and Henderson Group Property.
