Working with our charity partner

We have partnered with End Youth Homelessness (EYH), a UK-wide movement of local charities that have joined forces to tackle youth homelessness. Our staff get involved in a range of fundraising activities, including sport challenges, a national 'sleep out' event and of course bake sales, to raise vital funds for homeless young people.

We're committed to making a positive impact on the communities we live and work in. As part of this, we have a volunteering scheme, #HaysHelps, which gives employees one day of paid leave per calendar year to volunteer

Our Net Zero pledge

We believe that the drive towards a more sustainable, low-carbon way of life to tackle climate change is vital. That’s why we have pledged to become ‘Net Zero’ in terms of carbon emissions by the end of 2021. This is a global commitment across Hays and follows sustainability efforts in the UK, including a pledge to eliminate single use plastics, improve recycling, switch to 100% renewable energy for offices, automate expense and invoice processes, and move to an electric car fleet.

Balanced working

We want to support and enhance the work life of our employees. This is why we offer a balanced working agreement where most staff are expected to work in a Hays office five days over a fortnight period, and have the freedom to choose where they are based the other five days. We hope that by providing our staff with freedom and flexibility in how they work, we will be able to continue to cultivate the high levels of productivity, engagement and loyalty that makes Hays such a rewarding place to work.
