Your new role

We are seeking an outstanding Teacher of Physics to join our dynamic Science department from January 2026. This is a permanent, full-time position, though part-time applications will be considered, and additional responsibilities may be available for the right candidate. You will teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students and promote a love of Physics. You’ll work closely with the Director of Learning for Science and a team of experienced professionals to create impactful learning experiences and support student progress.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you will need:
  • A good degree in Physics or a related subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching across at least two key stages, including Key Stage 5
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Physics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to inspire, challenge and motivate students
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider school community
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, and determined, with high expectations of themselves and their students. You should be confident using ICT to enhance teaching and learning and be able to engage effectively with parents and colleagues.
