We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and professional Standards and Attendance Officer to join our Girls’ School team on a maternity cover basis. This is a vital role focused on maintaining high expectations of student behaviour, punctuality, and attendance, while supporting the wider pastoral team in creating a calm, respectful and purposeful school environment.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be confident and authoritative, with a strong presence around the school
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff and parents
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Uphold school policies with consistency and dignity
Key responsibilities include:
  • Gate duty and punctuality checks each morning
  • Monitoring uniform standards and liaising with families
  • Supervising detentions, break and lunch duties
  • Communicating with parents regarding attendance and behaviour
  • Supporting students with emotional-based school avoidance
  • Conducting home visits and working with external agencies
  • Recording and reporting attendance data via MIS
  • Collaborating with Year Leaders and the Girls’ Standards Team

This is a fast-paced role requiring initiative, resilience and a genuine commitment to student welfare. You’ll be a key figure in the daily life of the school, helping ensure every student is present, prepared and supported.
