The role

Chief Executive Officer

Embrace Multi Academy Trust – Leicestershire

Start date: Monday 23 August 2021

Salary: Attractive salary for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate

Due to the retirement of the current Trust Leader, the Directors of Embrace Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader as Chief Executive Officer for their evolving Trust.

Embrace Multi Academy Trust is a new trust developed in partnership by like-minded leaders and governors from a range of schools across South Leicestershire. The Trust is clear about what they stand for, what they want for their pupils and where their future lies. The Trust is a church-majority trust, driven by a moral purpose to develop their pupils in the fullest sense, regardless of which academy they attend and without detriment to others outside the trust.

All Embrace schools, whilst working in close collaboration, have their own unique and distinctive ethos and vision, alongside shared trust values. The Trust’s foundation, and with it its success, is built upon successful relationships with all stakeholders.

As Chief Executive Officer, you will match the passion, determination and drive of the Headteachers; represent the Trust’s values and vision by your actions, deepen the already effective collaboration between schools and bring to life inspirational plans for the development and effectiveness of the MAT, as it continues to expand.

Applicants for the post will be able to evidence experience of operating at a senior level within education environments or will be from a sector working closely with the education sector, having a strategic knowledge of the challenges involved in leading complex multi-stakeholder organisations. This will include experience of reporting to Board members (Directors/Governors).

As a highly skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to engage and successfully develop relationships, positively motivating key stakeholders both within the Trust and externally, locally, and nationally. The successful candidate will bring the drive, inspiration and commitment to lead the vision for the Trust and the communities it serves.

This is a remarkable opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Trust at a very exciting time in its development. As the Trust evolves, the Directors seek an inspirational and collaborative leader who shares and respects the Trust’s key values.
