Job Overview:
We’re looking for a customer‑focused Tech Engineer to join our team, with a strong emphasis on delivering high‑quality, face‑to‑face support through our Tech Bar. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys solving problems hands‑on, and takes pride in providing an exceptional user experience. You’ll play a key part in keeping our technology running smoothly across day‑to‑day incidents, requests, and device support.

Location: Raynesway - Derby
Daily Rate: £19.85/hr – PAYE, £25.77 – UMB
Contract Length: 02nd March 2026 till 02nd February 2027

Key Responsibilities
Tech Bar Support
  • Deliver friendly, professional, in‑person IT support at the Tech Bar
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, mobile, and application issues
  • Provide guidance and technical advice to users in a clear, approachable way
Operational Support
  • Manage incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
  • Support device builds, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with user onboarding, ensuring new starters have a seamless experience
  • Collaborate closely with the wider IT team to maintain smooth service operations

Key Requirements
  • Strong technical background, ideally at 2nd/3rd line level
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • A team player who performs well in a fast‑paced environment
  • Solid knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and standard end‑user technologies
