Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Windows 11 Deployment Engineer to support a large‑scale device rollout programme at the site. The successful candidate will play a key role in building, deploying, migrating, and decommissioning end‑user devices as part of a controlled, high‑security environment.
This role is ideal for someone with strong hands‑on experience in Windows OS deployment, endpoint management, and hardware lifecycle governance.
Location: Raynesway - Derby
Daily Rate: £19.85/hr – PAYE, £25.77 – UMB
Contract Length: 3 Months
Key Responsibilities
Device Build & Configuration
- Build and configure Windows 11 devices according to predefined engineering and security standards.
- Utilise deployment tools such as SCCM, Intune, or MDT for automated imaging and application provisioning.
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure device compliance and functionality.
Deployment & Migration Support
- Roll out Windows 11 devices to end users across the Raynesway site.
- Assist with data migration, profile transfer, and user onboarding.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and escalate where necessary.
Device Decommissioning
- Securely wipe, decommission, and catalogue legacy devices following site governance and security protocols.
- Maintain accurate asset tracking and documentation.
Technical Troubleshooting
- Provide hands‑on support during the transition phase from legacy environments to Windows 11.
- Diagnose hardware/software issues and resolve them within SLA.
- Collaborate with wider IT teams to ensure minimal downtime.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure all deployed devices meet SC-level security controls and organisational standards.
- Follow strict policies for handling devices and data in a secure environment.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in building, deploying, and supporting Windows 10/11 devices.
- Strong working knowledge of SCCM, Intune, MDT, or similar endpoint management tools.
- Experience in hardware lifecycle processes (build, deploy, decommission).
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, highly secure site.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Active SC Clearance (must meet UK nationality/residency requirements for SC level).
- Prior experience working in a defence, aerospace, or similarly high‑security environment (advantageous).
