Agile Delivery Lead

A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is looking for an experienced Agile Delivery Lead for a 6-month contract to start ASAP, based in Hatfield (Hybrid), Outside IR35.

Responsibilities
The Agile Lead will be responsible for rolling out Agile ways of working across Group Infrastructure, guiding Agile teams to deliver high-quality products and services.
Supporting heads of delivery across EMEA to create an Agile path.
Providing direction and support to Agile communities.
Coaching and creating a central hub for policy creation.
Coaching teams on Agile practices, facilitating coordination, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
The Agile Delivery Lead will work closely with stakeholders, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and engineering leads to drive continuous improvement and enable the successful delivery of valuable increments.
Agile Coaching: Coach and mentor Agile teams on best practices, troubleshooting issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Facilitation: Facilitate key Agile events such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives across multiple teams.
Alignment and Coordination: Ensure alignment on priorities and progress by coordinating with stakeholders and promoting collaboration and transparency.
Impediment Removal: Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress, ensuring smooth and productive workflows.
End-to-End Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery process, tracking dependencies and addressing bottlenecks to ensure timely delivery of products.
Technical Practices Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve technical practices, quality, velocity, and business value.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that the teams are delivering value that meets business objectives.

Knowledge and key skills
Agile Background, proven experience in Agile coaching and delivery, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
A detailed understanding of Kanban boards, how to build them and how to train users to build them, all levels of Kanban - Initiative down to Task level.
A comprehensive knowledge of the system functionality from both a user and a system configuration perspective.
Able to document system design requirements and specifications in a clear, unambiguous manner.
Competent user of the MS Office product suite (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
A good understanding of the infrastructure supporting the applications, especially interfaces.
Good understanding of software development principles and methodologies and DevOps
Takes a logical, analytical approach to problem-solving and takes responsibility in resolving them.
Writes and speaks fluently about all aspects of work and communicates effectively.
Has experience in project management and is able to lead functional teams in a successful and efficient manner.
Works effectively as part of a team and can lead a team functionally.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field
Agile Certifications: Certifications like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills to guide teams and drive project success.
Excellent communication abilities to facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts within teams.
Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
