Welcome

I am delighted that you have shown an interest in joining our property team at Cardiff Community Housing Association. It is a fantastic time to join us as we are putting the finishing touches to a team restructure and continuing a new cultural journey.

CCHA was established in 1996 and is a Registered Society with charitable status. We formed when Adamsdown Housing Association and Moor Housing Association merged. Between them, Adamsdown and Moors have been providing homes in Cardiff for over 35 years. We are a non-profit organisation that is registered and supervised by the Welsh Assembly Government.

We are a registered social landlord and own and manage almost 3,000 homes in south-east Cardiff. We provide a wide range of high-quality homes and services and are committed to supporting and regenerating the communities in which we operate.

We provide a comprehensive service for a wide range of people in need of good quality, secure and affordable housing. We cater for single people, families, older persons and those with needs, such as physical disabilities and learning difficulties. Most of our housing is for rent, although we also offer low-cost homeownership opportunities.

We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to providing great affordable homes and fantastic services for the people of Cardiff. We are passionate about working with and for families and individuals that choose Cardiff as their home city. We are a community anchor organisation, recognising the strengths that exist in the communities in which we work.

We are house builders and want to be at the cutting edge of delivering much-needed affordable homes across the Cardiff region. We are also keen to reflect the diversity of our communities. Our financial position is robust, with some £10m in revenue and designated repair reserves, and a coherent long-term asset management strategy. We operate over two offices and have just under 100 staff.

There are currently 35 members of staff in our directorate, within an Assets Team, Landlord Compliance Team and Repairs Team. We are absolutely committed to providing “excellent” homes and properties, a first-class repairs service and great quality planned maintenance programmes while providing high levels of customer satisfaction. Our Asset Management Strategy clearly sets out what ‘excellent’ means to us and most importantly to our tenants.

Recent challenges and changes in the leadership of CCHA have led to a brand new top team who have delivered at Standard – Standard regulatory judgement in 2020. The Property Operational Management team have also provided assurance to our corporate team and board of directors by securing substantial assurance grading’s in all internal audits undertaken in 2020. It is an exciting time in the history of CCHA and this post will play a key role in delivering technical and cultural changes that our customers deserve.

The culture at CCHA is fun, friendly and open where people are trusted and empowered to make decisions and to be creative. We listen to our tenants and staff involving them in decisions to drive the organisation forward. If you are a person who is motivated to deliver the best for people and make a difference for communities in Cardiff, then CCHA is the organisation for you. There is so much more to say about CCHA!
