Hello, and thank you for your interest in being part of our Customer and Digital Services Team!

Having worked at Castle Point since 2000, I’ve seen our Authority go through many changes – and core to the success of all of them has always been our staff. We have a well-established and committed team of officers and managers who are incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and hard-working.

As a small Authority we naturally thrive on working collaboratively, not just within our Directorate but right across the organisation. Our size, in many ways, is a key part of our success – we are able to foster strong internal relationships, build wide-ranging skills, and contribute to and progress projects and initiatives in ways that are not always possible in larger organisations.

Moving into 2023 I’m excited at the opportunities that lay ahead in Castle Point– both within the organisation as a whole but also within Customer & Digital Services.

We are going live with a new Council Tax Reduction (banded-style) Scheme this year and - like most Authorities – supporting our residents through the ongoing energy crisis continues to be a high priority. We have recently refreshed our Corporate Plan to reflect new opportunities, initiatives, and customer focussed outcomes and we are embarking on a fresh, new, and exciting corporate journey to transform our services and the way we work - led by our new Chief Executive - Angela Hutchings. 

Resilience, communication, and innovation are going to be key requirements for our services so I’m looking forward to bringing someone on board who can bring these skills to the table and lead our Revenues Service through this journey.
