I’m pleased to be welcoming you to our Council and borough at a hugely exciting time. – Through our Let's Do It! Strategy; we’ve set ourselves an ambitious set of objectives for 2030, which has people and relationships at its heart. I’d be delighted for you to join us as we deliver on this promise.

There’s around a quarter of a billion pounds of investment to drive the regeneration and development of our borough’s six towns currently being overseen by the Council. Over the next few years Bury people will begin to see the impact of this investment and, crucially, realise the benefits it will bring to them through increased skills development and employment opportunities, better transport links and a new way of supporting their wellbeing. All of which will have the key ingredients of what makes Bury special!

Of course, the work above is set against the Cost-of-Living challenges Bury people are facing and we’re committed to working together with our partners to support our people, hear and now, to have positive and healthy life experiences in this context.

There’s a real vibrancy around Bury’s future aspirations as a council and as part of Greater Manchester and this is an opportunity to be at the heart of this. We’re truly ambitious about building on our success to make opportunities for our communities as well as being a great place to live and work.
