Thank you very much for your interest in the Legal Services and Corporate Governance team at Bournemouth University. This is an exciting time to join the University as we start work on our next strategic plan to take us beyond BU2025.

The team are dedicated, collaborative and flexible lawyers and governance professionals who enjoy being directly involved in the University’s activities and changing lives through higher education. We cover a broad and interesting in-house remit as well as working directly with the Board on our corporate governance.

Legal work includes education, research and knowledge exchange contracts, commercial contracts, international collaborations, IT contracts, estates, regulatory, consumer and charity law. The team supports the Board and its sub-committees as well as providing company secretarial support to our subsidiary companies. We also co-ordinate responses to the Freedom of Information Act and Data Protection subject access requests.

The team is well resourced and professional development is an important part of our culture to ensure we can meet the changing needs of the University. We are investing in these posts to ensure we continue to support areas of growth into the next strategic plan.
