The responsibilities are:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of geopolitical and geoeconomic risks across multiple regions and industries
  • Develop and maintain risk models, forecasts, and scenarios to provide clients with actionable insights, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies
  • Lead and manage client engagements, ensuring effective communication and delivery of high-quality, timely results
  • Produce regular reports, briefings, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of risk factors and potential impacts
  • Stay current with industry trends, relevant news, and research developments in the field of geopolitical and geoeconomic risk
  • Contribute thought leadership in the form of articles, papers, or presentations at industry conferences and events
  • Foster relationships with clients and industry partners to expand the company's network and influence
  • Develop and implement revenue generation strategies, including identifying new business opportunities, pursuing leads, and assisting in the preparation of proposals and pitches
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to effectively showcase the value of the company's services and drive revenue growth
  • Provide input on the continuous improvement of the company's products and services, ensuring we maintain a competitive edge in the market

Person Specification  

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in risk management, international relations, political science, economics, and/or a related field or relevant experience in risk analysis, risk modelling, and risk management, preferably within a consulting or corporate environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in geopolitical or geoeconomic risk, with a focus on regional politics, cultures, and market dynamics
  • Proficiency in data analysis and related software or tools (e.g., GIS, statistical software)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Certifications such as 6 Sigma or membership of organisations such as the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) are a plus
  • Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is strongly preferred
