D365 & Power Platform Developer role at Young Lives vs Cancer

Digital, Data & Technology at Young Lives vs Cancer is on an exciting journey, building the foundations to drive digital transformation across the organisation, enabling all staff to play their part in shaping a better future for children and young people diagnosed with cancer.

As an organisation, we challenge the systems and policies that surround children and young people, we highlight gaps and campaign for change. Because we know what a better future could look like. And we know what we need to do to make that future a reality. We need to push harder, reach further and work smarter. And we need the right people on our team to help us get there. People like you.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a D365 & Power Platform Developer, you will play a pivotal role in our digital transformation programme, developing and supporting solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. This is a hands-on role, working closely with technical leads and the wider programme team to deliver high-quality, user-centred digital services.

You will be responsible for designing, customising, and supporting solutions using Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, contribute to technical governance, and ensure best practices in development, security, and data governance are followed. You’ll be motivated to try out new ideas, technologies, and ways of working, and will be prepared to ‘work in the open’.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
  • Develop and customise solutions using Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Configure and support integrations between Dynamics 365 and other systems.
  • Collaborate with the development team, Power Platform Architect and M365 Technical Lead to ensure alignment with technical standards and governance.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
  • Ensure best practices are followed in the development process, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
Diverse perspectives and unique skillsets are at the heart of Young Lives vs Cancer. To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate how you have:
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience developing solutions on Dynamics 365 and Power Platforms
  • Experience developing and implementing solutions for data integration utilising Power Automate Flows
  • Knowledge of best practice data security and compliance best practices.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methods and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

WHAT WILL I GAIN?
For people to reach their full potential, they need the right environment. As a member of Team Young Lives, you’ll be made to feel supported, valued and appreciated. Here’s how we do it:
  • A salary of £55,000 per annum
  • An opportunity to work remotely, visiting our offices a few times a month
  • Generous annual leave allowance of 27 days + bank holidays
  • Enhanced pension, with employer contributions of 8%
  • Wellbeing days: four days a year to do what works for you – from catching up on training to going for a walk
  • Access to our employee savings scheme
