With Regional Fulfilment Centres across the South East, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Bristol, Williams deliver on the same day, 7 days a week, 364 days a year, to many locations across the UK.

Founded by Mick Williams in 1972, Williams were a traditional local independent merchant for many years. Recently, the combination of great prices and the best products backed up by exceptional service has catapulted them forwards to become a major regional independent and one of the fastest growing merchants in the UK.

Whilst other merchants may offer a confusing mess of price lists and discounts, they simply publish their best trade price, and charge the same price to every trade customer

Williams have been recognised by the London Stock Exchange as one of the UK’s 1000 most inspiring businesses several years in a row, including this year, and in 2018 and 2019 one of Europe’s 1000 most inspiring businesses.

The company was acquired from the Williams family by a consortium of management and staff in 2015, and most staff are now shareholders. They are proud of their commitment to paying a living wage, and to sharing the profits of the business with those who work hard in it.

2021 has been a difficult year but they are proud to have achieved Best Companies status once again. In May they were delighted to be awarded Customer Service of the Year for the second year in a row, and the NMBS Award of Excellence, by a panel of industry experts at the Builder's Merchants awards.
