Waterside Primary School

View the Role

Welcome

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the position of Headteacher at our exceptional Waterside Primary School, Stoke-on-Trent.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate to take this incredible school into the next stage of its success, the journey to being ‘World Class’.

We are keen to appoint a highly ambitious and successful colleague to this post.

It is a real opportunity for a proven leader to impact on children’s life chances and transform their futures. We will provide the opportunity to be innovative, creative and ground-breaking.

We intend to give rise to something exceptional as a multi-academy trust, and Waterside Primary School is at the heart of our ambition. We were delighted to welcome Waterside into the Trust in February 2021; judged ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted in May 2019, this is a truly remarkable school.

The role will give you both challenge, as movement beyond outstanding stretches professional vision, ambition and goal setting (but what absolute joy when it is achieved!) and opportunity, to be a system leader within a supportive partnership trust model and beyond.

Shaw Education Trust is a large family and currently consists of 25 Academies and 1 Independent Specialist College. Our schools cover all phases and all sectors, we are proud to be inclusive, having ambition for each and every one of our 11,000 learners. We are an aspirational and motivated Trust, determined to affect positive outcomes for our communities. We have a SCITT and an Institute of Education within our partnership and these provide outstanding career development pathways for teaching and support colleagues. Our apprenticeship model is dynamic, fast paced and stage appropriate. Exceptional, high quality professional learning lies at the heart of our approach: we regard it as a right, not a lottery. Our academies are great places to work, our teams buzz with creativity, and focus on excellence by all and for all.

If this opportunity makes your heart beat faster, and fires your passion, please contact our recruitment advisor, Chris Gartner. He can be contacted on 07595 646 645 or via email chris.gartner@hays.com for an informal conversation, to arrange a visit to the school, or discuss making an application for the role.

We look forward to meeting with you and welcoming you into our world.

Yours faithfully
