We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our client’s team in Newbury/London. The team works on a hybrid working basis.
- Contract: 6 months
- Daily rate: £550 per day via umbrella
- Hours: 40, Monday to Friday
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their Centre of Excellence team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project and programme management (both waterfall and agile) within a complex business environment. This role involves leading the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality targets, and managing projects that align with our client’s strategic direction.
Project Manager responsibilities
- Provide transformation and operational leadership to mobilise and deliver business-critical projects.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality targets.
- Ensure high stakeholder satisfaction through transparent communication and effective issue resolution.
- Implement and manage appropriate project governance structures, including requirements definition, planning, and resource allocation.
- Actively manage risks and issues, implementing mitigation actions where appropriate.
- Support the Programme/Portfolio Manager in creating and tracking project plans and producing regular reports and presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of project time and spend, identifying and reporting any potential risks to the Programme/Portfolio Manager.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Experienced delivery management professional.
- Subject-Matter Expert in Project & Programme Management (waterfall & agile) within a complex business environment.
- Credibility and leadership skills are necessary to lead and successfully deliver large, complex, pan-business transformations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence and operate at the senior management level.
- High level of energy and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, team-oriented environment.
- Experience working in a complex, fast-paced environment delivering immovable commercial deadlines.
- The ability to build relationships across relevant areas of the business and with external stakeholders.
