I am delighted that you are considering applying for one of our new roles at the University of Derby. Our 2018-2030 Strategic Framework, launched in June 2018, signalled a new chapter for our University, providing staff and stakeholders with clarity over our direction of travel and raising the bar in terms of our institutional ambitions.

A new Chief Digital Officer (CDO) will be joining us in February 2022, with responsibility for a newly-formed Digital Solutions and Services (DS&S) department at a time of real momentum, driving forward the digital agenda. We are seeking to enhance the new department with the recruitment of two key new senior roles to lead the strategic direction and provision of digital applications and data services, which are key to supporting digital transformation and our Business Analytics and Digital Strategies:

• Head of Digital Applications and Data Management: reporting to the CDO and a member of the DS&S Senior Leadership Team, this role is strategic and wide-ranging, covering the strategic planning, development and delivery of all applications (learning and teaching, administration and research management), software and data management for the University.
• Data and Integration Services Manager: reporting to Head of Digital Applications and Data Management, this role will lead the development and delivery of data management, integration, identity management and data presentation platforms and services for the University.
• Corporate and Academic Systems Manager: reporting to Head of Digital Applications and Data Management, this role will lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining a first class set of enterprise systems supporting all business areas of the University.
