About the roles

Following the recent appointment of a new Finance Director UKCEH are now seeking to fill three key roles in their Finance and Procurement teams.

  • A Head of Finance who will report into the Finance Director
  • A Procurement Manager who will report to the Head of Finance
  • A Financial Planning and Analysis manager who will also report to the Head of Finance

The Head of Finance will oversee 16 staff spread across the Financial operations, Reporting, Planning, and Procurement teams. This is a senior role in the organisation responsible for a robust accounting, reporting and control environment, managing cashflow and reserves strategy, and ensuring fit for purpose ERP based systems and processes. The postholder will also drive financial planning and delivery for the organisation as UKCEH cements its status as an independent ‘not for profit’ research institute and looks realise ambitions including the further diversification of its income base.

The Procurement manager will lead a team of two and be responsible for setting and delivering the procurement strategy for the organisation, ensuring a compliant, efficient, and value driven approach to procurement.

The Financial Planning and Analysis manager will lead the planning, forecasting, and management information processes for UKCEH, set and track capital plans, and also provide insightful analysis to support key business and investment decisions.
