Welcome to the Abbey School

Welcome to the Abbey School and Abbey Green. Based in the heart of Chester City Centre, Abbey School is an extraordinary Residential Special School for exceptional young people with autism aged 4-19 years whom may have additional learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge. Abbey Green in our residential provision and provides a perfect setting for young people to reach their full academic potential. We offer a special place for pupils to live and learn, with young people living in small family groups within each house, and cared for by highly skilled, well qualified and nurturing team of residential care staff.

We understand that in order for young people to prosper that we must firstly understand their needs. As such each one of our pupils is assed and provided with an Educational Health Care Plan to meet their needs. Our beautiful site offers the best possible provision for your pupils, down to the design by an ASD specialist architect, to our specifically develop curriculum.

Abbey School aims to be the very best of its kind in the United Kingdom. We aim to improve the life chances of pupils with complex and challenging needs, and to extend the prospect of an improved quality of life for family members and others.
