We are a successful community school located on the north-eastern edge of Luton.

At Stopsley High School we ensure that high standards of teaching and learning are delivered to our students within a caring environment. This is successful because all students, teachers, support staff, governors, parents and partners work closely together to raise standards, aim high and aspire to achieve the best for all our students.

We work within a caring and inclusive context and ensure that equality of opportunity, respect and fairness are at the forefront of all we do.

Our Aims

We aim to ensure the maximum achievement for all by:

• Providing learning experiences both inside and outside curriculum time that are stimulating, challenging and relevant
• Encouraging opportunities to explore issues that develop learning, discussion, understanding and empathy
• Helping to develop interpersonal skills, a positive self image and confidence as well as fostering self motivation and discipline
• Ensuring a safe, supportive, friendly and attractive environment conducive to learning and underpinned by a fair and consistently applied code of conduct
• Supporting individual development, strengths and personal interests as well as offering opportunities for group and community based activities to thrive
• Promoting training and professional development for staff in order to extend the teaching and learning experiences provided
• Forging strong partnerships with others who share the responsibility for education, in particular parents but also other schools, colleges, outside agencies, and employers
• Preparing young people to take an active and responsible place in society and developing a commitment to learning as a lifelong process
