We are seeking to appoint two outstanding Teachers of Science

St Thomas More is a good school (Ofsted 2022) committed to high standards of growth and professional development. The school is popular – always oversubscribed beyond our admission limit – and well respected in the local community. We are a successful school with a large sixth form located near Willenhall, with easy access to the M6 motorway network.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teachers of Science with a specialism in Physics.There will be an opportunity to teach A level for subject specialists. This vacancy is a unique opportunity due to colleagues relocating; for a newly qualified teacher this would provide an excellent start to your teaching career, whilst for more experienced colleagues there are varied further development opportunities and rewards available, with the potential for pastoral opportunities also.

You’ll be joining an experienced group of qualified practitioners who very much work as a team. Science is enjoyed by students across all year groups and is a popular choice at A-level. The department is well resourced, supported by skilled technicians and all teachers have their own large laboratories. The drive for engagement and practical skills in Science has been a significant feature in recent years and can be seen in the keen way students participate – we are striving for scientists of the future being created and nurtured in the department.
