About us

South Wigston High School is a successful and popular 11-16 school situated on the edge of Leicester City. This is an exciting time at our school, having recently converted from being a 10-14 school. Due to our recent transformation our student numbers have increased. This transition is exciting and a great place to be for career development. From September 2014 we will have around 940 students on roll.

Student learning is at the heart of everything at South Wigston High School. The school commits itself to challenge all students to become the very best they can. We aim to encourage every student to strive for excellence in everything they do and provide the support, encouragement and guidance to enable them to achieve their potential.
