Your new company

South East Consortium are a not-for-profit central purchasing body working in the public sector. They create frameworks and dynamic purchasing models for use by their customers.

The Operations Team provides solutions for their customer’s procurement and technical needs throughout all stages of their projects, providing services to help them navigate changes in the market and the legislative landscape.

Your new role

  • As Senior Procurement Manager – Products you will be responsible for planning, monitoring and organising the delivery of procurement products (frameworks and dynamic markets) based on the overall agreed procurement plan and to use market intelligence to create new products for SEC.

  • Leading the tender process, including designing, scoping, tendering, evaluating, awarding and reporting.

  • Working with all colleagues and internal stakeholders to understand customer needs and ensuring all strategic, organisational and functional requirements are understood and incorporated into the procurement product.

  • Engaging with suppliers to build and maintain relationships, alongside the Strategic Procurement Lead.

  • Project manage all pre-procurement/procurement and post-procurement activities using skills and expertise from different SEC departments and teams and to work with stakeholders to launch new products once live.

  • Lead the procurement product team to deliver compliant procurement processes.

  • Developing, motivating and creating a learning environment to support the procurement product team to meet their development objectives.

    What you'll need to succeed
  • Full knowledge and understanding of public procurement, creating frameworks/dynamic models, understanding compliance with regulations.
  • Understanding the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Experience of demonstrating leadership and managing a team.
  • Being able to engage and communicate with colleagues and customers of different levels.
  • MCIPS qualification would be desirable, as well as an understanding of the housing sector.
