Smurfit Westrock, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging, operates in 40 countries with over 500 packaging converting operations and 63 paper mills. Formerly being known as Smurfit Kappa, and proudly merged with Westrock in July 2024.

March is one of our largest manufacturing sites in the UK Corrugated Division. It's vision is "Proud to make complexity safe, simple and efficient". 

At March, we have a strong and dedicated workforce of C200 talented colleagues with an average tenure of 14 years who work tirelessly to provide high quality packaging solutions for our many customers. 

Our site which is located on the outskirts of March is 58,500m² and has excellent road links.

From our highly automated, complex integrated site we service 114 customers, including Local, National, Multi-National, Pan European and Global accounts. 

 

Predominantly our customers are in FMCG, Produce and eCommerce. Serving some of the most recognisable local, national and global brands, our customers, service sectors including snack foods, catering, pet care, fresh flowers, beauty, fashion and many others.

With a complex product offering, we produce over C1840 SKU's across our 12 conversion machines.

With so many of our customers working within the food industry we have a number of accreditations to demonstrate our commitment to quality, environment and people including FSC, BRC, ISO 14001 and SMETA.

On site we encourage open communication across all areas. For the last two years we have been successfully delivering a new Performance Excellence approach exploring operational efficiencies, change management, continuous improvement, health and safety, zero loss, and problem solving; all driven through a collaborative bottom-up approach.

The site has an active employee forum who meet regularly to discuss key priorities, changes and initiatives such as employee events and wellbeing activities, and we work in partnership with our on-site Union and Health and Safety Representatives to ensure our processes are applied consistently and fairly. The site is proud to work closely with the local community and we actively engage with local charities through donations and fundraising.
