This is a brand-new role at the heart of our Executive Leadership Team, designed to transform how digital, data and technology enable our Trust to deliver exceptional outcomes for pupils and communities. It is a rare opportunity to build and shape a Trust-wide digital function from the ground up, moving us decisively from reactive IT support to a truly strategic, future-focused digital capability.

Reporting to the CEO and operating at Board level, you will bring a bold, innovative and forward-thinking approach to digital leadership. You will define and deliver a 3–5 year digital strategy that underpins educational excellence, operational efficiency and sustainable growth across a complex, multi-site organisation.

This is more than a technology role, it is about transformation. You will lead the development of a modern, secure and scalable digital ecosystem, harness the power of data and analytics to drive better decision-making, and shape our approach to emerging technologies, including AI, in a way that is responsible, impactful and aligned to our educational mission.

Working closely with fellow Chief Officers, you will play a key role in shaping whole-Trust strategy, bringing a distinctive digital lens to how we innovate, improve and evolve. You will lead high-impact change programmes, strengthen cyber resilience, and ensure our systems, infrastructure and partnerships are fit for the future.

We are looking for a dynamic, credible and ambitious leader who thrives in building something new. you will bring significant senior experience in digital, technology or IT leadership within a complex organisation, alongside a proven track record of delivering large-scale transformation and influencing at executive and Board level.

Experience within a Multi-Academy Trust or similar multi-site, public sector environment would be a significant advantage, though we welcome candidates from a range of sectors who can demonstrate the vision and capability to operate at this level.
