The German company was founded in 1945 by Prof. Dr. Fritz Sennheiser and it remains an independent family business to this day. Since 2013, Daniel Sennheiser and Dr. Andreas Sennheiser have been Co-CEOs - the third generation of the Sennheiser family to lead the company. According to its own figures, the Sennheiser Group has around 2,880 employees worldwide. In 2018, the audio specialist's total turnover amounted to 710.7 million euros.

Sennheiser UK Ltd. and Sennheiser Nordic A/S overview

Sennheiser UK Ltd and Sennheiser Nordic A/S are wholly owned subsidiaries of Sennheiser Electronic GmbH & Co. KG in Germany and are responsible for the marketing of the entire product range in the UK, Nordic region, Ireland and the Middle East.

Their goal is, via an even closer collaboration with their customers, to identify and develop optimal solutions for retail stores, professional users and artists that have the pleasure of using Sennheiser products. Artists such as Adele, Ed Sheeran, Drake, Pink, Kylie, Rihanna, Robbie Williams & the Foo Fighters all trust their microphones to give the best rendering of their voice. What’s more, recently discovered talents in all musical genres are supported by Sennheiser. Major film, radio and theatre productions frequently owe their excellent sound to our technology, too. Artistic performers, television companies, stadium operators and conference organisers count on Sennheiser. They know that Sennheiser has the ideal solution to meet their requirements. Sennheiser UK Ltd

Sennheiser UK was founded in 1990 in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire and then later relocated to High Wycombe. By 2013, the company had moved to the historic and charming Thames side town of Marlow, 50km west of London. The new location offered better facilities for their employees and their customers, including fully equipped listening room with the 9.1. Neumann speaker installation, as well as AMBEO Soundbar and their flagship Sennheiser HE 1 headphone. To offer better facilities to their customers apart from the UK market, Sennheiser UK Ltd is also responsible for sales and business development for much of the Middle East, including United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, Oman and Iraq.

Sennheiser Nordic

Sennheiser Nordic A/S was founded in 2005 in Holte (North of Copenhagen). There are approximately 50 people employed by Sennheiser Nordic A/S, 25 of those are based in Denmark and the rest are in our offices in Helsinki (Finland), Oslo (Norway) and Stockholm (Sweden).

In 2019, the company relocated to Vallensbæk to be even closer to the market and their Nordic customers. The new building offers some great facilities such a staff canteen; demo area where they showcase a selection of their latest and greatest products; listening room which was built to the highest specs so we can run seminars and workshops for their customers and stakeholders. The office, which features open workspaces, virtual collaboration rooms and lounge spaces, also reflects Sennheiser’s openness to new ideas and new ways of working together.

Products and production

Headphones & speakers

Sennheiser's Consumer Division offers private customers a wide range of premium and high-end headphones. With the AMBEO Soundbar in 2019, the audio specialist expands its product portfolio to include home entertainment speakers.

Professional audio

The Professional Audio Division offers its customers comprehensive audio solutions for live music, DJing, theatre, studio, broadcast, film and video as well as 3D audio and AR/VR/XR. The product portfolio includes stage, studio, broadcast and location recording microphones, wireless microphone and monitor systems, headsets, monitor headphones and professional in-ear listeners.

In the field of business communication, the family-owned company's portfolio includes audio solutions for presentations, conferences, meetings, visitor guidance, hearing support and the education sector. These include wireless microphone systems, ceiling microphones, speaker microphones, visitor guidance systems, streaming solutions for hearing assistance and wireless PA systems.

Production sites

Sennheiser has a total of four wholly-owned production plants. At its German headquarters in Wennebostel, Sennheiser produces products for the high-end market and the professional sector, such as wireless and wired microphones and monitor systems, high-end headphones, audiology products and conference technology. In Tullamore, Ireland, Sennheiser manufactures acoustic transducers for headphones. Headphone converters are manufactured at its plant in Brasov, Romania. In Albuquerque, USA, Sennheiser focuses on the production of wireless microphone systems for the American market.
