Welcome to Rugby High School

Welcome, and thank you for showing an interest in working at Rugby High School.

Known locally as RHS, Rugby High School has been providing the young people of Rugby with a first class education for over a hundred years. Our founders bequeathed us a motto, 'She has set heights in her heart.' which is as important to us today as it was to the original staff and students. We want the members of our school family to be creative, ambitious, to realise their potential and, in doing so, enrich the lives of others.

RHS is an inclusive, friendly and diverse community. We come from different backgrounds, have unique experiences and skills. We are united by our common humanity and shared purpose. Staff development is one of the keys to our success and has a high priority.

We have experience of supporting colleagues undertaking a variety of different programmes and qualifications. There are many opportunities to share good practice, to learn from others (both in school and outside it) and to grow. With around 900 students on roll and 130 staff, many of whom work part-time, there is no danger of students or staff being lost in the crowd.

You are very welcome to visit us prior to making an application, although we recognise that geography and work commitments mean that this isn’t always possible. In any event, we hope that this site will prove a useful tool in shaping your decision making and that you will consider joining us.
